Your dental health matters

Healthy smiles are beautiful smiles.

A stunning smile begins with excellent dental health, which is why having access to advanced general dental care is important for everyone.

Here at Treehouse Dental we are pleased to provide the following treatments as part of our general dentistry offering:

General dental care begins with a routine dental check-up where your dentist will assess the overall health of your teeth, mouth, and gums. They will discuss their findings with you and recommend oral care tips to follow at home or suggest treatment that may be required to improve the health of your teeth. This may be because they have spotted plaque build-up of the signs of gum disease, all of which can be treated right here at Treehouse Dental by one of our dental hygienists or periodontal specialists.

Dental check-ups

Dental check-ups are the heart and soul of your dental care.

Whether you want to improve the appearance of your smile with Invisalign, boost your shade with teeth whitening, or improve your overall look with dental veneers, everything begins – and continues – with regular dental check-ups.

These appointments allow us to regularly check in on the health of your teeth, gums, and the soft tissues in your mouth, and provide oral health advice or treatment recommendations as required. Most patients are recommended to attend for a dental check-up every six months, which helps us to build a continual picture of your dental health and spot any potential concerns nice and early – before they become big (expensive) problems!

Dental hygiene

Dental hygiene appointments are just as important as your dental check-ups as they allow us to clean all the areas in your mouth where plaque builds up.

This is completely normal and happens to all of us… even dental hygienists!

Everyone has places in their mouth that are difficult to clean, but your hygienist can identify these and share them with you so that you can give these spots special attention during your daily brushing.

Regular dental appointments and a great home care regime will help to prevent gum disease.

Gum disease

Gum disease occurs when plaque builds up on the teeth and causes inflammation of the gums.

If we discover it at this stage, a regular dental hygiene appointment followed by a more robust cleaning regime at home will reverse the problem.

If gum disease is left untreated, it can lead to periodontitis. This is when the inflamed gum pulls away from the tooth and leaves a space for bacteria to enter below the gum line. Periodontitis cannot be cured but it can be managed. We have a specialist periodontist on site who will work with the hygiene team and your dentist to help keep your periodontitis under control.
